2020 Green Carpet Fashion Award awarded to Erdos Resources Co., Ltd

on October 10, Beijing time,The Green Carpet Fashion Awards were held at the Shanghai Tower. Inner Mongolia Erdos Resources Co., Ltd. was awarded the Green Carpet Fashion Award - THE GCFA ECO STEWARDSHIP AWARD at the ceremony.




The Green Carpet Fashion Awards are organised by the National Chamber of Italian Fashion in partnership with Eco-Age, a leader in the sustainability sector founded by Lydia Firth, with the focus on sustainability. The Green Carpet Fashion Awards, the first of its kind in the world to encourage sustainable development in the fashion industry, has been held in Europe for three years and has been dubbed the "Oscars of Fashion" for its sustainability and environmental themes.


This is the first year that the Green Carpet Fashion Awards was held in China, with the theme of "Unity and Rebirth". The event was held during Shanghai Fashion Week, from Milan to Shanghai, and broadcasted live worldwide via Tencent Video, combining innovative offline and online methods. The offline event consisted of a forum, green carpet, gala dinner and award ceremony. The online event will be presented through AR, holographic technology, digital and cinematic methods, connecting new generation designers, luxury brands and fashion gurus to discuss the future of sustainable fashion and honor those who have contributed to the development of sustainable fashion.


Ms. Wang Zhen, President and General Manager of Inner Mongolia Erdos Resources Co., Ltd. was invited to participate in the roundtable discussion in the afternoon, and spoke on the topic of sustainability together with Shaway, founder of yeyehyehyeh, Prof. Roberto Pagani, Science and Technology Counsellor of the Italian Consulate General in Shanghai, and Ms. Cheng Ying-ting, COO of Marangoni China Institute.


Ms. Wang Zhen explained the reasons for putting sustainable development in an important position from multiple perspectives, including CSR, the whole industry chain and rare cashmere raw materials, and put forward three perspectives on how to lead the Group to promote and practice sustainable development in the cashmere industry: an open perspective, an all-employee perspective and a long-termist perspective. The company is committed to promoting sustainable development as a long-term corporate strategy, using scientific and technological methods, innovation and design diversity to promote sustainable fashion and lead the industry forward.




At the award ceremony, Ms. Wang Zhen, as the representative of Inner Mongolia Ordos Resources Co., Ltd. was awarded the first award of the evening - THE GCFA ECO STEWARDSHIP AWARD. This demonstrates the organisers' recognition and praise of Erdos' work in grassland ecological protection and setting new standards in the cashmere industry.
